Department of Management organised Mock Budget Presentation 2023 for the final year students on 16th February 2023 at 2.00 pm in Main Auditorium. Budget announcement is one of the most awaited events for a country as it has an effect on everyone whether it is members of parliament or corporate, institution, or individuals, everyone eagerly waits for the honorable Finance Minister to reveal the year’s budget allocation. The Department of Management took it upon its own hands to give a little sneak peek into what happens in parliament when the budget is announced by presenting the first time ever Mock Budget 2023-2024. This stimulating event was conducted by final year students on the 16th of February 2023 at 2 pm, the event started with wisdom-full words of the Head of the Department Prof. Surendarnath Reddy. The theme of the budget was nav-ratna, which takes into consideration nine crucial sectors for any country which include Defence, Education, Healthcare, Agriculture, Home Affairs, Railways, MSME, Tourism, and last but not least Women and Child Development. Critical issues regarding each sector were discussed with the opposition scrutinizing every scheme and nook and turn to ensure people would get the utmost benefit from the allocation and bravely questioning those on the ruling party on the pressing issues. The ruling party came up with a serious allocation for schemes that will genuinely help people and make their lives easier. A sense of excitement and cheerfulness surrounded the audience actively participating and cheering on the members, which acted as fuel for the entire event. Questions were asked and answered regarding each sector, the electrifying event came to an end around 4:30 pm leaving everyone roused. This event was surely a learning experience for everyone involved and surely everyone gained insights into understanding how budgets are made which was the aim all along.
