A total of 57 Students from II BBA AM were accompanied by Prof.R.Haribaskar and Prof.Gincy Charles to the industry (i.e.) Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd. (GONEMAD) on 20/01/2020. The students had visited the industry as a part of their curriculum.

The students had visited Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd. (GONEMAD) which is manufacturing products in chocolate segment, biscuit segment and beverages segment. The venture maintained the leading position in sweet and savory snack with a very high retail value share. As the process of Industrial visit the students were given introduction about the company and its HR practices. Then they were guided by a HR department representative inside the manufacturing unit. There he explained about the entire process step by step to the students. Different varieties of chocolates and wafer stick production process were explained to the students. Students learned the real world application of management and the business mechanisms. They got information about the implementation of 5S methodology in the factory and the impact it had on the company running. It was observed that the works which were happening in the factory were going on very smoothly without any chaos and confusion among employees or machineries, which should be because of the 5S methodology mainly. Students learned about the Cleanliness and hygiene in the industry to ensure the quality of the product, working condition of the employees and various precautionary measures in respect of the human safety, plant safety and environment safety.
